IRCC will NO longer give points for job offers.

As of March 25, 2025, we're removing job offer points from the Comprehensive Ranking System for current and future candidates in the Express Entry pool.

This includes job offers:

• Classified under Major Group 00 of the National Occupation Classification (for example, senior management positions) (200 points).
• In any other skilled occupation (50 points).

It may take a few days for your score to show correctly, so you don't need to contact us unless the problem continues more than a week.

‼️URGENT LMIA POINTS UPDATE! ‼️

Right now, LMIA-based job offers aren't adding 50 points in the CRS calculator!

Is this just a system glitch or a major policy change?

UPDATE:

Canadian visa and border officers now have the authority to cancel already-issued visas and travel documents in specific cases.

These changes give immigration and border services officers explicit authority to cancel electronic travel authorizations (eTAs) and temporary resident visas (TVs) on a case-by-case basis, including when

• a change in a person's status or circumstances makes them inadmissible or no longer eligible to hold the document (for example, the person provided false information, has a criminal history or is deceased)

• an officer is not satisfied that someone will leave Canada by the end of their authorized period of stay

• the document is lost, stolen, destroyed or abandoned
