No Sleep Til Kyiv is now available to watch on YouTube. https://youtu.be/axYaq8GQOaA This road movie follows a humanitarian convoy traveling from Tallinn to Kyiv with the 69th Sniffing Brigade.
I was one of the drivers in the convoy, and the film captures the reality honestly, without exaggeration. If you’ve read my book 8 Missions in Ukraine, you’ve already seen this truth on the page — now you can see one of those missions on screen.

Not which title sounds most professional, but which one would you actually click on?
I will be back with another Ukraine update exactly on January 6-th. I hope to see you all there and then! Thank you for your attention and trust. Slava Ukraini! Happy Christmas!
This week, we received an answer on how effective the Korean troops are and how much they are helping Russia in the Kursk region. Footage of North Korean attacks demonstrates that they lack the skills to conduct modern warfare, which was not a surprise. They managed to
capture several trenches, which were eventually recaptured by Ukrainian forces. The North Koreans became easy targets as they advanced through open fields in large groups. They proved to be ineffective, but it should not be forgotten that Ukrainians still have to repel these attacks, incurring their own losses. The situation remains difficult on the Pokrovsk direction as well. However, there have been some changes and personnel reshuffles. For a long time, reports from the area highlighted inadequate command, which led to the advancement of Russian forces.
One of the latest major mistakes was the loss of Shevchenko. The settlement had been prepared and fortified as the next line of defense, but the Russians captured the town without much resistance. A more experienced brigade, possibly the 3rd Assault Brigade, was redeployed to the area, and a successful counterattack was carried out. The Russians were pushed back, but the Ukrainians have not yet fully regained control of the town, and the fighting continues. The failures in the tactical command of Ukrainian forces led to the replacement of the commander. The commander of the "Donetsk" operational-tactical group, Oleksandr Lutsenko, was dismissed after the rapid advance of Russian forces in the Pokrovsk direction. He was replaced by Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi.
In October 2022, General Tarnavskyi led the "Kherson" military group and directed the liberation of the city and the region. If he succeeds in resolving the crisis within the Ukrainian forces, we could see a repeat of the Kherson scenario in the future. Russia is currently on the offensive, throwing in all its resources and reserves. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Russia to replenish its colossal losses, which it seems to disregard, and at some point, it simply will not be able to maintain its current pace of the offensive. The captured territories do not justify the losses that the Russians are suffering. It is difficult to predict exactly when, but if this continues, a moment will come when Russia will no longer be able to advance or even maintain its defensive positions. A similar situation occurred in Kherson, where, after several months of offensive actions, the Russians ran out of strength. When the Ukrainians launched a counteroffensive, the front collapsed. For a while, Russia became the main supplier of armored vehicles to Ukraine, as its forces fled, abandoning everything in their path.
It is difficult to make predictions in war due to the many factors that influence its outcome. However, conditions are beginning to resemble those of 2022 in the Kherson region. The change in leadership in the Pokrovsk direction is a very important step that should have been taken earlier, right after the fall of Avdiivka. There are positive changes, but currently, heavy fighting is ongoing. The Russians are also learning and adapting. In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians have abandoned frontal assault tactics and are attempting to flank Ukrainian positions in small groups. This approach has yielded some results. The stretched-out Ukrainian defense is struggling to cope with the sheer number of Russian forces, compounded by problems in command. The new personnel changes could potentially bring positive results. Russia is weakening, and Ukraine's need for allied support is greater than ever. Currently, it can be said that both sides are losing. Ukraine is losing territory and suffering unjustified losses due to the mistakes of its commanders. Russia is depleting its army and resources without achieving any significant success, only local advances. Both sides are exhausted. However, the balance of power is shifting in Ukraine's favor, and for complete success, it needs our support
