The HumanOS Foundation is a nonprofit that builds free, open-source health technology so every patient — regardless of disability, language, or income — can walk into a doctor's visit prepared, heard, and understood.
We built Aura hOS — a free app that replaces the 15-page paper clipboard with a 2-second QR code handshake. Your data stays on your phone. No corporate cloud. No middleman.
Built for: Chronic illness • Rare disease • Neurodivergent adults • Deaf & hard-of-hearing • Non-verbal patients • Caregivers • Spanish-speaking families

Why I’m building in the dark to #KillTheClipboard
For years, I’ve managed chronic conditions that make it incredibly difficult to communicate my health story when it matters most. Every time I walk into a new doctor's office, I’m handed that same 15-page paper clipboard.
Being asked to recall a decade of complex biology—medications, dosages, and exact dates—while you are already struggling to communicate is a systemic failure. The healthcare system treats us like data couriers, but gives us zero tools to help us be heard.
That’s why I started the HumanOS Foundation. We are building Aura hOS to be your "Sovereign Node"—a free, Zero-Knowledge vault that lives on your phone and replaces the clipboard with a 2-second QR handshake. It’s designed to speak for you when you can't.
But to build this right, I need to hear from you.
I’m opening up our development process to this community. Tell me in the comments:
1. What is the hardest part of "repeating your story" to a new doctor?
2. What’s the one thing you wish your doctor already understood before the visit even started?
Your feedback is the blueprint I’m using to engineer this system. Long before "Kill the Clipboard" was a federal headline, I was already building this. After years of integrating clinic Intranets, I realized: we don't need more "Data Entry" roles at the clinic and fancy shiny tablets—we need a better way to bridge the gap between patient and doctor.
I didn't design this for the corporations. I designed as a Patient for the Patients. Let’s kill the clipboard together. 🙏🏽
