In about 16 hours, the Video Game Thief Awards goes live on the channel. It was a massive edit, but I think it's the sort of fun we need before the year ends.

There'll be another video out on the 31st, and then finally, along the first week of the new year, you should have two massive retrospectives for over 4 and a half hours of video (I hope) goodness.

I've been dealing with family holiday stuff, but sneaking off to write and record bits and pieces, and now it's all coming together.

Also, that's the Thief Awards timeline in the image. Absolutely bonkers edit, but hopefully you like it.

Hey there! Working on A LOT of stuff. What stuff? Well, I'm gonna tell you, but please let me know below if there's anything you think is extra interesting, or general thoughts on the projects. A lot of stuff I haven't done in like 10 months, mostly longer videos, which I love doing.

-Metroid Prime 4 review. (A little over halfway through atm)
-A big, BIG Mario Kart World video which is not what it seems.
-A retrospective on PS2 launch games, which has been in the works for 1 and 1/2 years.
-The start of a new series? Where the idea is to analyze games and figure out if they actually failed, if they're actually forgotten, and why. I've been building candidates for it for like a year, first video should be out this month?
-THE THIEF AWARDS: Big Goty video, featuring my top 10, extra fun awards for stuff like "Worst company of the year", and surprises! Yay!

As you can see, I'm making the most of my time off from dayjobbing, and hopefully that translates into a bangin' December of videos, but I really want to know: Do you care? Are any of these appealing to you? Should I shut up and just cover the news?

Big video hopefully coming out today. A topic that's been getting out of control in the games industry, and that is very serious. I'll do my best to still keep it fun and informative, but tonally the video might be a bit different, and it's highly controversial.

I went to Gamescom! Which means that there's A LOT going on at the channel atm.

I'm on holiday from my day-job and editing up a storm, with daily vids going out for the next two weeks! Some will be previews like the Crimson Desert one while I recover from the Con-flu, others are big projects in the works that are finally done.

I also recorded 13 interviews with amazing indie devs working hard talking about their games and the industry at large, and I'm editing that all together into a massive "Gamescom experience" video, which should well over an hour long and feature of ton of smaller previews for games I played and all those wonderful interviews, jokes, and developers getting into trouble with PR as they answer industry questions they really shouldn't into a lafufu microphone.


Hoping to bring you the Gamescom experience from the comfort of your couch. Or chair. Or whatever. I don't know where you sit.

We've got some really exciting videos coming up!
For those of you curious to get a peek into the future, this week I've got two essays going up that I'm very excited to share with y'all, with some very positive vibes to share as well as some much deserved criticism on top of that.

I'm also currently working on a video digging a bit deeper into Clair Obscur because it's on my mind a lot, and of course, I'll be giving some final opinions on Tainted Grail, as well as my typical deeper analysis for Elden Ring Nightreign once it's out in the wild. So as you can see, a lot of videos, and I really think you're going to like them.

The Hair: Firstly, never thought this channel would reach 50k, but here we are. Thank you. Long story short, I had an appointment for one of those fancy barbers where they study your face or something to tell you how they think you'd look good. I had the flu, couldn't go (also why there was no video on monday nor tuesday this week), next appointment is too far away. I will probably just go to my usual barber who I haven't seen in five years and let the chips fall where they may.

Let me address a few things while I'm at it. Number 1: No, I'm not shaving bald. Number 2: Do not feel bad for my hair. I didn't do this for youtube, as I said a long time ago, it's a promise I made to my family so they'd stop bugging me about my hair. The truth is I never took care of my hair while growing it, and a lot of it is very unhealthy and requires cutting, so might as well give it the best chances to grow back better by cutting a bit more. Wouldn't have said it if I hadn't already thought it through.

Onwards and upwards: Unless there's some massive controversies to cover, I imagine it's going to be a nice long while until 75k. But while we're at it, let me know what you'd like to see for that.
