"Courage in the face of adversity" has been personified by Chandigarh's premier triathlete - Tuffman Inderjeet Bajwa 💪🏻



The indomitable spirit and unwavering determination of our 'Tuff' triathlete shine brightly through his remarkable achievement in the Tuffman TRI 113 at Chandigarh last year. Overcoming the adversity of dengue just a week prior to the race day, he displayed incredible courage by taking on the gruelling 1.9 Km Swim 🏊🏻, 90 Km Bike 🚵🏻, and 21 Km Run 🏃🏻‍♂️ to make it up to 113 Kms. With each stroke, pedal, and step, he pushed beyond his limits, defying the odds and inspiring all those around him.



His tenacity is truly commendable, as he fearlessly embraced the challenge head-on. The support of his runner friends, namely, #GurpreetSingh and #AmritSingh played a vital role in his triumphant journey, showing the power of a strong support system that the fitness fraternity provides each other.

One of our Inspiring Tuffman - Gurmanpreet Singh, an ambitious tri-athlete, who's not only focused on success but constantly strives for self-improvement. He successfully competed in his 1st ever triathlon and achieved a podium finish, securing 2nd position in the Sprint TRI category. Despite the challenges of an open water swim, he adapted to the conditions and emerged from the water like a zero-sweat guy.

A clothing change in the transition cost him some time, but he made up for it during the bike leg by overtaking all his competitors. In running, he settled for 2nd place but is determined to work on improving his running in future workouts. As per him, he learned valuable lessons such as maintaining a good route and pace during the swim and investing in a tri-suit for more efficient transitions. With a timing of 1:36:39, he is proud of his achievement in his first sprint triathlon and so are we.

We believe our young tri-athletes as well as beginners can learn a lot from the experiences of our ever-aspiring athletes.

Shimla, the name itself oozes greenery and serenity. The place is synonymous with lush green mountain forests and echoing tranquility. In the foothills of the Himalayas, lies this gem of a place whose charm was irresistible even for the Britishers who made it their Summer Capital as it provides the much needed respite from the summer heat in the scorching months of May and June.

Look no further when you are planning your family vacation and to add cherry on the cake, #TeamTuffman has been organising #TuffmanShimlaUltra there since 2014. The race kicks off from Mashobra Greens which is akin the Presidential Retreat and is hidden among the coniferous cover. This misty valley is a birdwatcher's delight and a perfect offbeat place to unwind.

How most of us crave adventurous activities but somehow compromise due to filial, spousal, or parental obligations. Let not these deter you from living your dream as the underlying principle of Tuffman is to make your participation a holistic experience which means you need not stay away from your loved ones to test your stamina in the beautiful trails. They too are welcome to join or simply stay and explore the astounding vistas of the ever engrossing landscape.

At this point, we would love to mention that the #TuffmanShimlaUltra is the closest to Tuffman's heart. The reason being the inception of Tuffman took place in the mesmerizing trails of Mashobra, Shimla. Tuffman is the brainchild of our RD but Shimla was the inspiration behind it. So, naturally the Mashobra Ultra is endearing to him.

We started the first edition of #ShimlaUltra with a modest number of 40 runners which grew to 10x in comparison to it’s first year in the yester year. We are grateful for your trust in us. Trust is build with consistency and we are feeling proud to state that with each event, we turned it up a notch and tried to up the ante and satisfaction which hooked our regular participants.

This faith and response is immensely motivating and provides the requisite stimulus to pour out hearts and souls into making your experience a memorable one.
