Happy New Year 2026!

I start this year without work. Scary, but limitless (to a degree). I left my job in December, because I felt I needed a change and something else now. The "problem" is I don't know what is next, but I made a choice of jumping to the unknown to avoid feeling stuck and eventually not enjoying the work I was doing.

Right now my only income is streaming and videos, but I have savings, so all is good. However, I feel this is a good moment to talk about supporting me directly (support that is always appreciated, never solicited) as I do have bills to pay.

Here on YouTube I will be activating the YouTube memberships and super chats, to allow people to more easily support me if they want to.

# Small Commitments

I'm not big on new year's resolutions, but I do like to focus on small commitments - Setting short term goals in a form of "I will do X for Y days/weeks" or "I will do X n times", the shorter/smaller the commitment the better.

For January, I will focus (31 days) on creating videos and streaming, letting my mind reset and not continuously loop on what I want to do to make a living.

# Upcoming games

Longer term goals for games/content:

* Finish The Witcher 3, Skyrim and Fallout 4, in that order, to clear the ancient, pending backlog. Small steps, committing to one video a week for 3 months.

* Play through the big, isometric RPGs I have not played: Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2 and Balder's Gate 1, 2 & 3 (these are long, so it's a loooooong term goal)

* 'Let's Play Chess' - I will start playing *chess* and record/stream my first 100 games .

So here's what's coming in early 2026:

* At least one video a week, re-starting and continuing *The Witcher 3*, starting next week so you can expect part 101 before January 11th. (Witcher When?? ➡️ Witcher *then*!)

* Starting the "Big RPG Marathon" with *Pillars of Eternity 1*, played on Saturdays and Sundays (Starting on Jan 10th)

* X-COM Files continues, on Thursdays and Fridays

* Monday, Tuesday: Smaller games (like Noita, Super Fantasy Kingdom) and chess.

* Wednesday is (mostly) off day from streaming

# Stream Schedule

The stream schedule will be evolving, but my initial idea is that **stream schedule will remain what it has been** (evening streams during the week, daytime or evening during the weekends).

That's quite a lot to kick off this year, but in my mind, these are small steps and as mentioned, giving me something to focus on while I figure out what I want to do in life next 🎉

My YouTube channel turned adult today as it is the channels's 18th birthday. I posted the first video (little WoW video about a community event) on December 20th 2007.

As some of you might remember, the channel was "reborn" and became more active in 2011 when I started making let's plays, so we have big 15 years let's play anniversary coming in March/April next year.

And speaking of celebrations, Christmas is coming up and while I will spend Christmas Eve with family, Christmas Day and Boxing Day I will spend with you with X-COM-Mas Specials on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th (playing X-COM Files)

If you have a chance, come hang out and let's play X-COM Files, continuing the new Superhuman run that has has a great start in the first two sessions.

Here's my regular schedule for streams, according and with "help" from ChatGPT 🤖 So yes, I stream on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and every Fhursday (Thursday and Friday) 😁 The times are in UTC/GMT.

All streams are simulcast to YouTube and Twitch (AI "almost" got that Twitch icon right 😅).
VODs are available on YouTube right after the stream (or already during it I guess), organized to corresponding playlists for easy viewing of the whole series 👀.

As a reminder - due recording and doing most games as livestreams, the video tab might seem quiet, but as the schedule shows, I'm doing ~5 streams every week, so check the Live-tab and/or the playlists for the game/playthrough you're watching.

Mostly back to normal again (after being sick).

For the near future: X-COM Files continues every Thursday and I'll play Final Fantasy XII over the weekends (Friday-Sunday + possible Mondays). These are livestreams (both YT and Twitch), and the recording is available here on YT right away after the stream.

I'll start dropping some already finished series as well, Silent Storm Sentinels next.

I had a short planned vacation here, but then I also got a bit ill. Nothing serious, but enough to throw all plans upside down (including canceling this Thursday Oct 9th stream). I'll be back to the stream schedule next week, with the next stream planned for October 16th (X-COM Files).

Hi!

A couple of things. Playlists and livestreams. Or "how to find more stuff to watch if you like my content".

PLAYLISTS

A reminder that I put all my videos on playlists and upcoming episodes are often already up as soon as you see part 1, so you can watch/binge all the episodes already.

For example, all 16 "aired" X-COM Files episodes are on the playlist and can be watched already: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLv...

Similarly, you can watch the whole Softwares Inc. playthrough, all 10 parts, already even though only a couple of parts are published. This is because I want to give you all the videos right away, but YT algorithm doesn't like dropping 10+ videos on a channel at once.

And speaking of the YT algorithm: It probably won't show you my videos much. If you wait for YouTube to notify you about the next part in a series, chances are you never get that notification - even if you have clicked the 🔔.

So, if you like a series, click yourself to my channel, the playlist-tab and watch the vids via the playlist. And uou can save the playlist and it'll show up in your personal playlists view - Think of it like marking a show to favorites on Netflix.

LIVESTREAMS ON YOUTUBE

As you might've noticed, you can now watch my livestreams on YouTube too. The chat is more active on the Twitch side, but if you want to say hi or ask me questions, I see them whether you're on YouTube or Twitch.

Also, now that I'm simulcasting all livestreams on Twitch and YouTube, you can watch the new VODs immediately after the stream if you can't make it live or just prefer watching later. I no longer need to export/upload streams from Twitch to YouTubez saving time and getting the VODs up here on YT with no delay. Immediately after the streams the "clip time" will be in, but edited out later once YouYube processes the stream.

Lastly, the current or already streamed series will still appear as videos, but all new livestream content will appear as Live-content (on the channel page for example). After this transition, only pre-recorded videos, e.g. traditional LPs, will show up on Videos.

My first Twitch Front Page promotion went great and we had fun playing UFO: Enemy Unknown, "OG X-COM", on superhuman difficulty. I hit a new record peak viewer count of 2200+ (22x-33x my normal viewership) with an awesome average of 1100 viewers.

The run itself went great, giving a really good start to the run, but let's see, usually X-COM gives and takes 😅
I'll continue the run during May on Twitch if you want to come watch it live, and eventually get it to YouTube as usual.
