Ghana is currently pushing for reparations over the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

It’s widely accepted, even in recent global discussions, that this was one of the gravest crimes against humanity.

There’s a real argument that it hollowed out Africa, removing millions of people who could have contributed to its growth and development.

But here’s where it gets complicated…

Who exactly should benefit from these reparations?

Many Black Americans argue it should go to descendants of enslaved people in the U.S.

Many Africans argue the continent itself was exploited and deserves compensation

So now it’s Africans vs the diaspora on the same issue.

If reparations actually happen… who do you think should get them?
