Congratulations! If you found our channel, you have reached the end of youtube because from what we understand, our videos aren't easy to find! 🤣
We are Kelli and Corey, just some ol' farts outside of Houston sharing our weekend RV camping adventures around Texas. We take our two chihuahuas with us, Hazel and Waldo so we focus on pet friendly places. We do park reviews as well as showing restaurants, coffee shops, and other activities in the area where we are camping.
We have been traveling for years but decided to start documenting our adventures, mainly to help others plan trips but also to help us remember where we have been.
We are just counting down until we retire and can travel full time across the country. We hope you will come along and share in our journey.

Where was God on the morning of July 4th and why did He allow this tragedy to happen?
I want to make sure to show sensitivity to those who are grieving such unimaginable pain and suffering and hopefully offer some words of comfort during this time of sorrow.
There is a lot of finger pointing at elected officials, F3MA and the National Weather Service. We can blame clim@te change, budget cuts, cl0ud seeding or anything else. Sadly, blaming God is often what many people do.
The Bible is our road map to navigate through this life. If you read it you understand that Satan and his minions rule this world. There is violence, manufactured wars, weather manipulation, suffering, the illusion of political parties to make us feel like our voice matters and to distract us from the fact that they all want to enslave us.
So why did God allow this to happen and where was he on July 4th?
God promises us that He will never leave us or forsake us. (Deut 31:6)
"Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." Psalm 23:4
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand". Isaiah 41:10
Romans 14:8 reassures me that if we are saved through our faith in Jesus while we are alive, He is in us and when we leave the earth, we are with Him so either way we are together. We are not alone.
Just as God was with Job, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Abendego, Paul and countless others during their times of trouble, He was also with Stephen when he was being martyrd. The spirit of God was with Jesus during his crucifixion on the cross.
So knowing he is with his children when they leave this world is very reassuring but how does that help those of us left behind who are left to grieve the loss?
Psalm 34:18 tells us, "The Lord is close to the broken hearted. He rescues those whose spirits are crushed."
God does not shy away from disaster or tragedy.
I do not have the answers to why this happened. All I know is that God is working outside of time and space, beyond what our minds can process. He sees the beginning from the end.
We as Believers are called to lean into our faith during troubled times and to weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15) and God will meet us there, in the midst of the mess.
His mercy, power, and faithfulness is on full display. I am seeing God everywhere working through the businesses, charities, communities, rescuers and volunteers giving them the strength and paving ways for them to come together to give their times and resources to lift up and offer prayer and physical help to complete strangers in their time of need.
Throughout the Bible there is mention of the signs and wonders in the stars, the moon and the sun.
What is interesting to note is 2 eclipses crossed America on two different dates and met in Kerrville Texas. The Annular Solar Eclipse (October 14, 2023) passed over Corpus Christi. Corpus Christi translates to The Body of Christ. On April 8 of 2024 there was a Total Solar Eclipse that passed over America and these two eclipses met in Kerrville TX where the statue of The Empty Cross is. That second Eclipse was during Passover. Passover? Body of Christ? Crossing over The Empty Cross?
The Empty Cross statue which I have been to is beautiful and represents the Ressurection of Jesus.
Jesus is reminding The Body of Christ that He is coming back.
I don't believe God "caused" the tragic flood. There are still evil forces at work here in this world and will be until He comes back.
I do believe that he was with those people and animals during those last moments and that he blanketed them with peace and for those who were not yet saved, I believe there is so much power in the last minute salvation of the thief on the cross. He was given the chance to be saved and to join Jesus in paradise.
I pray that everyone who has not yet given their life to Jesus to please do so now. Let him lift the veil so that you are not deceived in these last days. Let's continue to lift up all of those who are suffering in this tragedy as well as those suffering all other personal tragedies.
Thank you for letting me lay out what's on my heart.

Thank you for all of those who checked on us after the floods. We don't typically camp in the hotter months of July or August, especially on the 4th because all of our pets hate the fireworks.
Like many Texans we are grieving. We have camped in The Hill Country all up and down the Guadalupe.
In hindsight I am realizing there are many areas we can improve on our end when it comes to safety in an emergency.
In the weeks ahead we will work on a video of some things that we plan to have on hand in the event of another tragedy that we hope may help other campers with their preparedness.
Please lift up all communities and families that were affected by this tragedy.🙏🤲

In my last Bible study message, I learned how this life is similar to a race and our goal should be to cross the finish line, not to accept defeat but to keep our eyes on the prize which is Jesus.
"Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart " Hebrews 12:3
Jesus who lived a humble, obedient life suffered greatly even though he never sinned. He took on the wrath of out sins so we could also spend eternity in glory with him.
So we should consider our hardships a temporary setback that is preparing us for something greater.
God's discipline of His children should not be mistaken for punishment. His son Jesus took on our punishment.
Jesus didn't quit the race and we shouldn't either.
Here are steps to stay in the race:
1. Unload heavy burdens that hinders (distractions, sin, worry)
"Put off the old self" Many people train wearing weights but when it's tine to race, they take them off and lighten the load.
Ephesians 4:22
2. Train hard, run like their is just one prize and you are going to get it. Don't try to cheat or do anything to get disqualified.
1 Corinthians 9: 24-27
3. Look to Jesus, not yourself. He is our mentor, life coach and the prize. We can't win this race depending on ourselves to train properly. We need his guidance, him cheering us on along the way and greeting us at the finish line. Philippians 3:3
Paul had a great victory speech at the end of his race when he was about to win first prize:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Don't give up.

Is it possible to waver between faith and doubt and still receive God's grace?
The answer is "Yes!" As I study all of Hall of Faith Heroes of the Old Testament as well as people like Paul who is responsible for at least half of the New Testament, I see how God takes flawed people like us and pours his grace and mercy on us.
Take Abraham and Sarah. They didn't start out fully mature in their walk with Christ.
Abraham had Sarah lie in Egypt and say they were siblings because he feared being killed. Sarah laughed and doubted she would get pregnant because of her age and talked Abraham into having a child with Hagar.
Remember, God is not done with us. We are not perfect but we shouldn't use that excuse to purposely sin and make ourselves feel better. We all fall short of the glory of god.
I leave you with a couple of verses from an earlier study of Hebrews 6: 10-12:
"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."
So do not get frustrated and give up on Jesus because He hasn't given up on you!

In my most recent Bible study lesson, I continued through Hebrews 11:8-19.
The author has given examples of people in the Old Testament who lived by faith. He mentioned Abel, Enoch, and Noah whose act of faith was pleasing to God.
Today's message is about Abraham (Abram) and Sarah.
"By faith he made his home in the promise land, like a stranger in a foreign country;living on tents....For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God." (Hebrews 11:9-10)
This is a picture for us that we are strangers in a foreign land who are temporarily here, just passing through and we have something so glorious to look forward to that we can call home.
Many of us have lost loved ones here in this temporary life and it is hard but as Believers, if they too were Believers we can rejoice and say, "They made it. They are home!"
Mourning is for those of us still here, feeling their absence but our loved ones have left one family reunion temporarily to go to another family reunion in which we can all look forward to reuniting one day in Glory.
"Abraham obeyed and went (to where God was calling him) even though he did not know where he was going." (v 8)
Sometimes in this unpredictable life, we may not understand where we are being called by God or why. Thankfully God's mind isn't limited to what our brains are capable of processing.
No matter your struggles, just remember..."But God."

Tonight's Bible Study message came from
2 Corinthians 12: 1-10.
People like to boast of their own strengths. On social media, we portray an image of all the positives in our life. We share our best photos, sometimes even using filters in a desire to please others and give off the impression that we have it all together.
Most of us wouldn't dare show our weaknesses and vulnerabilities. We have an attitude like there is nothing we can't do or accomplish.
We often boast about our own strengths which aren't possible without God.
Paul points out how Jesus doesn't play by the world's rules. He gives strength to His children who are humble and can admit weaknesses because that allows Him to be glorified.
Sensationalism draws crowds buy God's glory gets watered down in the process because it's more "Me" focused.
Paul asked the Lord to take away his affliction but he said to him,
"My grace is sufficient for you for my power is made perfect in weakness." (v 8)
So Paul said, "Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. (9)
That is why for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties for when I am weak, then I am strong." (10)
God's grace is unmerited favor towards us but it also empowers and enables us to do His will.
Think of it like this...let's say you receive a new credit card in the mail where it tells you to call the 800 number to activate it. You have the card in your hands. It's available to use, but until you activate it, it can't actually be used.
God's grace is the same way. It's available to us and He gives generously but only after we activate it by surrendering to Him, acknowledging our weaknesses, and giving Him the glory for all of the blessings in our life.
It is difficult in times of pain, suffering and weakness to carry on but remember, we can do all things THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS US. Phillipians 4:13
Remember, we may not always get what we pray for but we will always get what we need.
"He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength." Isaiah 40:29

In tonight's Bible study, we read 2 Corinthians 1:1-11.
I loved this study.
In life we seem to either blame God for out struggles or we only seek Him when we have exhausted every other avenue.
We need to have Biblical hope, which is an expression of absolute confidence in God's promises for the future predicated on his faithfulness in the past.
So often we put our faith in man with their non Biblical promises that "God won't give us more than we can handle." Nowhere in the Scriptures can this statement be backed up which causes people to feel discouraged and drift away from God.
Paul even spoke of being overwhelmed with grief and sorrow.
"We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed we felt we had received the sentence of death."
(v 8-9)
That sounds hopeless and depressing, doesn't it?
However, there are two words missing..."But God."
The gospel wouldn't be referred to as the message of the "Good news" if there wasn't a blessed hope to look forward to.
Paul went on to finish his declaration.
"But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again." (v 9-10)
We are like diamonds to God and are precious in His eyes. We will go through times of extreme pressure and heat but he sees the value in us. Even with our flaws, He shapes us to reflect His light. Let Him transform you in His image.
