Interesting theory. But when someone’s defending a guy whose résumé includes allegations of sexual misconduct, pathological lying, fake martial arts stories, and action scenes filmed like a hostage negotiation with gravity, I don’t think the problem is the commenters.

You say people are proving your point by insulting Seagal. I’d argue you’re proving ours by treating criticism of a notoriously awful person as some kind of moral failing. If somebody calls a serial liar, alleged groper, and professional chair enthusiast a fat ass, that’s not bullying—it’s accuracy with extra seasoning.
