I’ve walked away from careers people thought I should continue. I’ve entered businesses without guarantees. I’ve failed in ventures I once believed would change everything. I’ve started again when it would have been easier to stay stuck. And somewhere in between the ups and downs, I understood something important: Failure is not the opposite of growth. It is part of growth. There were times I questioned myself. Times I felt behind. Times when people around me seemed more settled, more certain, more successful. But curiosity kept me alive. Curiosity to learn. Curiosity to rebuild. Curiosity to see what life still has to offer. At 45, I may not have all the answers, but I still have hunger. Still have courage to begin again. Still have the willingness to leave what no longer fits and step into the unknown. Some people grow old by age. Some grow old by fear. I choose curiosity. Life doesn’t end when one chapter fails. Sometimes that failure is the exact reason the next chapter begins. Still learning. Still fighting. Still building. Still curious about life.
