We’re supposed to get a crazy ice storm here in the south. Besides all the panic buying and power outage concerns, I’m quite eager to pull out some of my collection so I’ve got some things to keep me busy. If the power goes out, my portable crt will connect to the car and we’ll have tapes and heat galore LOL
that and the many laptops and portable DVD players.

eBay finally did me dirty, I bought this beautiful makeup instructional tape from Australia new and sealed. Unfortunately it looks like there’s some form of magnetic damage to the tape. I’m still archiving to salvage the distorted (but understandable) audio, but what a shame. I tried it on my CRT (I know some of you hate the elgato capture card lol) tried it on a different VCR, it’s definitely the tape.
Perhaps purchasing it internationally was the nail in the coffin, thoughts? I’m so sad about it

Just wanted to thank you all for the love in the comments on my latest video. I know I have big gaps in between uploading, part of that being I don’t want to force it- but I also do struggle a lot with my mental health and the depression has been ✨real✨I also have a ton of creative social media projects and sometimes I can’t balance them all and look for a full time gig too.
Anyways, it’s pretty nice to know that y’all are still here. Retro goodness is my passion and safe space. Promise I haven’t quit, just dealing with life the last few months ❤️💔

On vacation in beautiful Puerto Rico and look what I found in a casino! CRTs for DAYS! You can see the burn in of the main menu throughout the screen. They are still beautiful though. So cool.

Currently staring at this dystopian treadmill at my apartment. Netflix, artificial nature, and a touch screen speed manager that my iPad accidentally touched which caused the machine to randomly speed up and almost knock me off 😀
