My Sacred Room
A sacred space is an area you designate to be sacred - set apart from other areas as a place to connect to God, or the Divine, and to ground and center yourself. This is where you can decompress, meditate, or journal for peace of mind and greater overall well-being.
To begin creating a sacred space, you will want to first find a space in your home and create an intention for the space. The space does not need to be large, and you can use whatever items you have available to create it. Size, or furnishings, are not as important as the intention: The most important component of building a sacred space is your intention. The intention sets the tone, or creates the foundation of the space, in your own subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind is the gateway, or stairway, to higher realms and higher levels of understanding.
Following your intention, you will want to energetically cleanse the space and bless the space, and allow using the space, to become a part of your daily or spiritual practice.
