Just wanted to give you all a heads-up on what's coming to the channel over the next few weeks! Everything listed below has already been filmed, edited, and scheduled, so it's all locked in and ready to drop. I’ll also be adding movie reviews and trailer reactions along the way, so the order could shift around a bit depending on what I watch next.

Before I get into the list, if I haven’t covered your recommendation yet, please don’t worry! There are usually a few reasons for that:

• I simply haven't gotten to it yet.
• I reacted to the song but couldn't upload it because of a copyright block.
• In the case of movies, I haven't been able to find a way to watch them yet (not streaming anywhere or no English subtitles available).

I've actually been running into that last issue quite a bit lately!

Ok Big B fans. Super MANIAC! Ashok Singh has informed me that Jio Hotstar is having an Amitabh Bachchan film festival. Many of his films are being added to their library. Ashok gave me a big list of Big B’s films to watch but I thought I would get the MANIAC! community’s opinions.
I am going to list 4 pre-1980 films (Post 80’s will be a separate poll at a later date). Based on your votes that will dictate what I watch over my holiday. I will announce the winner on Weds and do the review as soon as I get back home. I need at least 100 MANIACS! to take part in the poll so get others on it. Hey all my fellow MANIACS! I just wanted to give you a heads up about what is coming. I am going away for a week with my wife (Celebrating 25 years of marriage) so I have banked a bunch of episodes that will drop while I’m away.

Just wanted to give all you MANIACS! a shout out. The channel I started about a year and a half ago has met its next goal. Because of your support, and Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge, the channel has reached 3500 subscribers. As many of you predicted would happen.

Thanks for the support from all you MANIACS! that have been there since day one and to all you new MANIACS! The best part of this whole thing, other than seeing movies, trailers and songs that reflect a culture I am learning about everyday, is the back and forth with all of you. I love the back and forth even when some of you (Very few) insult me. LOL

John Talks Indian Cinema: The Indian Cine-MANIAC!

Hey all you fellow Indian Cine-MANIACS! I just wanted to drop a post to thank all of you for helping the channel reach its latest goal of 3000 subscribers. It doesn’t sound like a lot but a channel with a guy from Massachusetts doing a review show of all things India, I’m pretty excited and happy. 

I know since I posted the review of Dhurandhar 2 The Revenge I have picked up a bunch of new subscribers. As some of the original MANIACS! know if you recommend a film, song or trailer for me to review or react to, I will…eventually, and give you credit.


You will find that my reviews are honest and I try not to get political because of how high the passions run. I look at these through the lens of an avid film watcher. I am learning a lot about India’s history and culture and know I have a looooong way to go. In a million years I never saw myself doing something like this but I have to say it’s been a ball. When I meet people from India they are shocked by my knowledge of Indian Cinema (All regions) and it’s a huge ice breaker.

So thanks again with all my heart and I will continue to build this community one MANIAC! at a time. Next stop…3500 subscribers. Jai Hind!
