TEACHING DUCKS TO SWIM - Really! At a month old, a quick gentle spray like a "raining" hose, checks if their feathers have waterproofed. And then the "catch and release" to the safely of the pool happens.

See for yourself the joys of watching dawning recognition and growing confidence.

And watch out for the CAT PLUMMET!

This was an amazing city to visit and film. It was cold and my Russian crew were rather frightened of some of the places I wanted to shoot. The WHITE HOUSE, MOSCOW was a good example!

They were worried about snipers.. and wouldn't get in the front/centre for the shots.. so I had to do it.

ALSO.. they needed to EAT every 2 hours.. they burn food to stay warm.

My funniest anecdote was Red Square. It took 6 months to get a permit to shoot WITH A TRIPOD there... for maximum stability plus of course $750. But I got it. We were running out of time to film everything.. so I engaged with my Kremlin minder.. a BIG lad of about 25 years.. who kept lifting stones with secret telephones under them to report what I was doing.

Anyway, I asked him.. "Is Red Square your total security job location or do you get to work elsewhere"..

This 25 year old boulder said.. "I GO WHERE THE MOTHERLAND TELLS ME TO GO".

So.. the country has clearly come on a long way.. ;-)

When I leftt my hotel one morning, there was a very old woman standing outside, trying to sell a single bottle of coke. She was STILL THERE 10 hours later when I returned. Of course I bought the bottle.

And lastly.. Moscow taxi drivers.. would rather sit around all day smoking, drinking and talking.. and then rip off ONE tourist.. than actually.. work consistently throughout the day..

So.. the country has come on a long way.. :-)

I was last filming in Moscow in 1988 before this trip 25 years later.. Sigh...
