Then Watts does the smart play. He pulls Tommy Bilotti aside. "There's room for you in this deal too."

Bilotti brings two million. Castellano brings five. Watts walks away with seven million.

Days later literally days both men are murdered outside Sparks Steak House in Manhattan. Castellano and Bilotti, dead.

Watts gets Bilotti's black loan book. He gets the power. He gets to keep the money.

Judge Colleen McMahon called him a "cold-blooded killer." But let's be real Joe Watts was a thief first. A con artist who played the Gambino family and won.

He was released from prison in 2022.

So Luciano and Torrio, these two were connected on basically everything big that happened. Atlantic City in '29 that was them. The Masseria hit them. Maranzano too. Torrio had been the one quietly setting all this up for years, Johnny 'The Fox' they called him, and Luciano was the guy actually pulling it off on the ground. Together they killed off both the old-school bosses, guys who were literally called Capo dei Capi, boss of bosses, just to build something new the National Syndicate. And it wasn't just murder either, both of them were running prostitution and dope on the side. So yeah, calling these two 'partners' is generous. More like two guys who figured out betrayal works better as a team sport.

If even that last line feels like too much of a "written" punchline, you could just cut the video there after "dope on the side" and let the facts sit without a summary line at all. Sometimes silence after a gut-punch fact hits harder than a clever closer.
