The mission of Dj’s Aviation is to be the public's first choice for regular developments within the Aviation industry. This includes Aviation news, analysis, opinion pieces, and more. The passion for aviation itself fuels my desire to continue informing people of all knowledge levels in the industry and create a welcoming environment for everyone.
I'm Dan, and the sole member of Dj's Aviation. Being 24, I've had a passion for Aviation for over 20 years now. Trips to the airport when I was younger were a regular occurrence, and since then, I've developed a love for it. With this passion, I've created a channel to share it. I hope to further fuel your passion for the industry, sharing news from one avgeek to another.

Hey everyone! Status update, a thanks and ramble time for May 2026!
Just wanted to check in, hope everyone is doing well, 2026 has been a whirlwind, but I mean, what year this decade hasn't? Exhausting. I mean, there's being busy, and then there's whatever the last 6 years have been, but still standing strong, allbeit a lot greyer in my hair than in 2019, the more grey the wiser, I think? Or I can blame my mum for her genetics. That said, she loves the 747 and got me into aviation, and helped me make this channel, so we can't blame her too much!
Wanted to extend my thanks to those who have chosen to support the channel through a membership over the last few weeks. I do hate offering these kinds of things. I understand this is my business, and I need to support my family. So, I do try to keep the prices low, whether for early access or for those that want to support further (if they can), just for the sake of it, the option is there, but for the core benefits, such as early access, I've tried to make it accessible.
This isn't a post saying blah blah go subscribe and pay me money, just a more generalised thank you, 2026 has been tough on the business, aside from some solid YouTube growth, the website took a 95% hit, trying to figure out what happens next there has been scary, not for you all to worry about, but that has been a weird one to say the least.
Away from that, I've been trying to publish news more as it happens, yeah, I work like a week in advance on the channel. Still, if something happens that's big, I've tried to go back to just publishijng it as soon as it hapens, I'm a news channel after all but for some reason I just got so scared posting more than once a day, so hope you all don't mind about that and enjoy maybe the news as it happens kind of style, of course some topics can wait otherwise you'd get 5 videos a day. I probably wouldn't survive past the year.
With that said, thanks again for all your support, this is my 11th year running this channel, let alone now my 8th year doing this full time, didn't think I'd be still here doing it, and a lot has changed in world, AI has made it hard and yeh, my content probably not being the best, let alone edits, to be frank I don't know how you guys even still tune in, haha, I appreciate each and every one of you, cliche, I know, everyone hates hearing it from stupid creators like me. Still, it does mean a lot, honestly, even if I'm not always in the comments for my own mental sanity haha (I'm a pretty weak guy mentally).
Keep in touch, I'll try to post more updates here in the future. No travel plans at the moment, way too much crap going on in the world, let alone priority shifts, so the content grind goes on! Hope everyone is well, you're happy, healthy and pushing through as best as you can.

Hello, I have some family commitments over the next three to four weeks, which will limit my ability to record and publish news **as it happens**, unless there's a groundbreaking development that requires me to record on my phone.
That said, over the last month and a half, I've been preparing videos for this event regularly, and I have a content plan for the next month that'll roll out to limit the impact.
I have pre-recorded a video every day for the next 30 days, which will go live on the channel. It's a mix of evergreen news content, order recaps, and more, so even when I'm occupied, a video will still go out every single day.
For those of you who don't know, I also have @GlobeTrottingAtDjsAviation , a second channel for in-depth analysis of past and current aviation events. I have pre-recorded videos here for the next three to four months, so no uploads will be missed.
Then, i have the website for those of you that read the stuff over there www.djsaviation.net, I have long-form articles 1,000+ words going out every 2nd day during this 3 to 4 week period as well, however, I will still be writing as normal the 3-4 news articles a day to go along with it.
The point is, I won't be providing timely news coverage on this channel for the next month (unless it's a crash, major order, etc.), but you won't see a change in upload frequency.
Thanks for the support as always, have a great February and March!

Hi all! It's been a long time since we spoke, but I hope you're all well. I'm taking a holiday next week that doesn't involve 15 hours of filming at an airport. Instead, I'll be sitting at a beach, haha!
I'll be gone for eight days. However, every day I'm gone, you'll have routine news videos going live same time as always, some of that pre-recorded stuff will be 8 minutes and some singular tidbits of information that I find interesting enough to keep on their own.
There'll also be regular proceedings across the second channel on GlobeTrotting at Dj's Aviation. I'm about two and a half months ahead of making content for that channel.
However, during the holiday, for those of you who check in on the website, I'll still be writing there daily and actively managing social media, although those aren't too tricky.
I don't have a demanding job, and I am very grateful to be in this position where I can even take a little holiday. All down to you for tuning in, but for sure, it'll be nice to have a few days to kick back in what is a typically 24/7 business spanning 365 days a year : )
Thanks for your support.: ) And, well, you gave me the chance to actually have a little break. If you didn't tune in daily, that wouldn't be possible. Hope that 2025 has been outstanding for you all thus far!

Happy 9 years to Dj's Aviation, I started this as a 14-year-old in high school and now am 23, engaged, have moved out and am trying to do this adult thing. Thanks for sticking with me, whether you've been here a week, 9 years, or this is your first post I really appreciate you.
I'll be around as long as I'm wanted. Even though I'm massively underqualified for this and really just an #avgeek who likes to talk planes, I am still fortunate beyond words for everything that's come my way.
At some point or not, I hope the community has been a safe space for you as it was for me when I was growing up, for I have grown up with Dj's Aviation and, honestly, so many of you. From a little teenager with voice cracks and no clue to someone with now a deeper voice (I think) and still no clue!
There are highs and lows, but running this independently across every avenue has meant a lot in the last nine years, and I appreciate all your patience with my errors and such, for I am also not all that smart.
Over the last nine years, I've had a lot of fun with everything from the model airport videos to model aircraft releases to news to planespotting clips. However, one of the most eye-opening and proud moments has been the many people who have reached out and said this community, consistent videos and more have pushed them into becoming pilots or working in aviation. That's the beauty of the internet, for all its flaws it can create a wholesome space to engage in a passion that can open your eyes and take your further than expected.
So whether you're reading this at 15 or 43, take that jump, just as I did at 14, with a Justin Beiber-styled haircut and go achieve your dreams. You only live once, so live every moment like it's your last, cliche, but it's true.
Also, here is a shoutout if you remember this logo. I was just reminiscing a little about simpler times. Got some exciting things planned for 10 years, hoping we make it to that!

A morning spent airside at Melbourne Airport celebrating Jetstar Airways' 20th birthday. It was an unforgettable moment for this Avgeek, who visited the airport at the age of 4 with a logbook to track registrations and turned that passion somehow into a career. Now, 20 years later, that same Avgeek is airside and amongst the action.I'm looking forward to sharing bits and bobs from the morning across this channel and the entire 80 clips one day on that dedicated spotting channel I speak about a lot! Have a wonderful weekend, everyone : )

8 years ago, my mum said I should upload my planespotting clips to Youtube instead of leaving them on an SD card, and the rest was history. I was just 14 then, and this year, I turn 23. I've been on a journey with this channel, and many of you have joined me as I've grown up.
Whether you're 55, 75, 15 or 23, I have loved every second of it (well, maybe bar a few), and it's my absolute pleasure to have you be a part of my community. Dj's Aviation, djsaviation.net, the podcast, the socials, the other channels, the emails, editing, research and more remains 8 years on just me, and it's my little passion project, and that'll never change. I know I've got a lovely group of people for however long this ride continues.
Thank you for your unwavering support, love, and kindness. I'll never be able accurately to express my gratitude. You've given me more than I could've ever imagined. I hope through my passion,, I've been able to convert maybe even just one of you to join this amazing industry in some capacity, whether that be through taking up planespotting, training to become a pilot or something else because that's always been my goal. Share the industry and create a community I wish I had at points. The internet is beautiful for that.

Today I am pleased to introduce the new-look Dj's Aviation, streamlined for the future but continuing to soar to new heights, as evident through the updated branding and the feature plane flying above the Dj's logo mark.

Fun fact, today, 7 years ago today, exactly, I created my Youtube Channel. It has been a journey, and I'm grateful to everyone for making it possible. You've made my life what it is, and I'll never be able to repay the favour. So here's to whatever the next 7 years hold. You all are incredible, and I couldn't ask for a kinder and more caring community. While doing this has presented challenges and isn't easy, I am truly blessed for all the opportunities that have come my way.
