Let Babylon Burn

New album dropping June 5th.

“Through the Static ” is a bit of a different ride than what many of you probably expect from me. Some tracks lean into warmer summer reggae vibes… others still carry smoke, scars, rebellion, and the fire you already know lives in this channel.

So don’t worry… Babylon still catching strays.

This album feels more alive, loose, and human. Windows down. Long nights. Loud thoughts. A mix of peace and unrest wrapped into one thing.

Would genuinely love to hear what kind of vibes you get from it once it drops.

Important note:
The full album will only be available on streaming services from June 5th — not here on the channel. So if you want to hear the whole journey the way it was meant to be heard, that’s where it’ll live.

I’ll be taking a little summer break to recharge the batteries a bit after this release, but regular songs will still keep dropping every Friday — already lined up and ready to go. So I hope you’ll still drop by, listen, and stay tuned.

I’ll also be posting a few personal moments and summer pictures over on Instagram for anyone interested:

Wishing all of you a beautiful summer ahead. Good health. Good people around you. Good memories with friends, family, or that special person who makes life a little lighter.

Thank you for being part of this strange little journey.

Let Babylon Burn

Probably against my better judgment…
Let Babylon Burn is now on Instagram.

Didn’t think I’d end up back on social media, but figured it might be a good place to share behind-the-scenes moments, album artwork, live visuals, late-night thoughts, upcoming releases and whatever strange signal leaks through the static.

Also gives us a place to actually communicate a bit more directly outside YouTube. Might even do some giveaways down the line for merch, signed stuff and other random things if people are interested.

So if you want to follow the journey beyond YouTube:

Appreciate every single one of you listening, sharing, commenting and keeping this whole thing alive. Truly.

Hope you’re all having a solid weekend. Spring finally feels like it’s waking up over here.

“The Other Side of Now” releases May 18th on all streaming platforms.

This album was built from late nights, heavy thoughts, old ghosts, worn nylon strings, and the strange beauty hidden inside imperfect moments. Raw vocals. Honest scars. No masks.

Thank you to everybody who’s been listening, sharing, commenting, and carrying these songs further than I ever expected. Truly.

Hope you’ll give the album a listen when it drops. And when it does — tell me which track found you the hardest.

🎧 Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon and more — May 18th.

Let Babylon Burn

Just dropped something a little special…

This is my first collaboration with From West to Nowhere:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wm8HX...

Go check out his channel too:
www.youtube.com/channel/UCtpS...

Definitely not the last time we work together—he’s an excellent guitar player and brought something real into this track.

The single will be out on streaming services shortly as well.

If you’ve got a few minutes, give it a listen and let me know what you think.
Comments (good or bad), shares, all of it helps more than you know.
And if you like his vibe, go show him some love and subscribe.

I’m honestly grateful to have people like you listening and supporting the music… means more than I can put into words.

It’s May 1st, spring finally showing up—hopefully better days ahead for all of us.

Wishing you a solid weekend 🙏

Beyond the Breakingpoint just dropped.

I’m curious… which track hit you the most?

Not just the one you liked—but the one that actually stayed with you after it ended.

Would really appreciate honest feedback too.
Good, bad, whatever you think—no filter. That’s how this gets better.

Tomorrow, Beyond the Breaking Point goes live.

9 tracks. All of them pulled from that place where love doesn’t end clean… where it lingers, breaks, rebuilds, and leaves its mark.

This one means a lot to me.

If you take a listen and it hits something in you, I’d really appreciate you sharing it—anywhere, with anyone. That kind of support makes a bigger difference than you probably think.

And to everyone who’s been listening, supporting, or just quietly pressing play… thank you. Seriously.

If you’ve got thoughts, reactions, or feedback—I’m all ears. Good, bad, or brutally honest.

Let Babylon Burn

A quick note from me:

There’s been a lot of talk about Let Babylon Burn lately — so I’ll speak for myself.

My name is Robert Lancaster. I’m from Norway.
And no — it’s not a pseudonym.

This project is real. The music is real. The stories are real.

I’ve been doing this for a long time — mostly for myself. Writing, playing, putting thoughts and emotions into music and words. It’s always been my way of making sense of things.

A lot of what I write comes from things I’ve seen and lived through over the years. Some of it stays with you — and music became a way to carry it.

I write every lyric myself. That part comes from years of life, reflection, and experience.

I also play guitar — that’s me.

What I use AI for is to shape and build the sound around those ideas. It’s part of the process, but not the core of it. Just another tool in the box — like instruments, software, or anything else used to bring a song to life. Everyone has their own way of creating. This is mine.

Some people connect with the music without knowing how it’s made. Some feel differently once they find out. I get both.

I’ve seen people say they feel “betrayed.” I don’t really see it that way. Everyone has their own way of expressing themselves — this is mine.

But if something you heard meant something to you — that part is real. No tool can fake that.

I’m also a private person. Some people enjoy the spotlight — I never really have. I’ve always been more comfortable just creating and letting the music speak where it can.

I’m not very active on social media either. It’s just never been my space — I prefer to stay a bit outside the noise and focus on the work itself.

I never expected a song like “So Hollow” to be the one that opened the door and carried this into the mainstream — but here we are. And honestly, I’m both humbled and a bit blown away by it.

That track alone has passed 30 million views on YouTube. Across everything — streaming and platforms — the music has now crossed 200 million listens since August last year.

Right now there’s also a bit of reshuffling happening across some releases and platforms. Things don’t always move clean behind the scenes, but everything will be sorted and back where it belongs soon.

That doesn’t happen without people. So if you’ve listened, shared, or supported in any way — thank you.

There are also a lot of copy accounts and channels out there using variations of the name. That’s just how it goes. People will do what they do. I just think it’s better when everyone walks their own path.

I don’t know where this journey goes or how long it lasts — but I’m grateful for every single listen, every comment, every subscriber.

If the music reaches someone who needs it — on a bad day or a good one — then it’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do.

I’m not here to pretend to be something I’m not. I’m here to create, honestly, in the way that works for me.

That’s all this has ever been.

Let Babylon Burn

Somewhere along the way, this arrived in the post… the 100,000 subscribers plaque.

A bit late to the party, considering the channel is now sitting at 236,820… but still, I took a moment and looked at it.

Truth is, I never pulled the trigger on it myself. Never really cared much for plaques or numbers. For me, it was always about the music… the message… and the connection behind it.

But seeing it now, I can’t ignore what it actually represents.

Not a number.
Not an award.
But people.

Real people… who listened, felt something, stayed, and came back again.

That means more than any piece of metal ever could.

So wherever you are in the world — thank you.
For every listen, every comment, every quiet moment you spent with the music.

Wishing you good health, strong days, and peace of mind…
and the same for the ones you hold close.

We keep going.
