I’ve been working full time (because bills… and also protein isn’t free), and took a little break from making food content while I got my own eating back on track! I've been building some muscle, leaning out a bit, figuring out what feels good… you know, real life stuff.
And the really cool part? It's given me space to think about where this channel is heading... and I’m so excited!! Things are changing… but also staying very much the same around here. 😂
Because let's be honest, I didn’t call this channel Lunch with Lisa for nothing. Expect MORE “pull up a chair at my kitchen counter while we figure it out together” energy. Expect some chaotic, nostalgic, nerdy food adventures coming your way soon!

What meal instantly sends you straight back to childhood? Like… you smell it, and suddenly you’re 9 years old, sitting at the kitchen table, waiting for dinner while TGIF is on in the background.
I’m talking about the stuff that showed up every week whether it was boxed dinners, potluck classics, casseroles, frozen TV dinners, or that one weird thing your grandma always made.
👉 Tell me, what’s the meal? The one that makes you go, ‘Oh my god… THIS was dinner.’
And then, be honest… was it actually good? Or do you just remember it that way?
Just wrapped up a recording session for my new series—and I’m honestly so fired up about it.
It’s called “We Were Sold Lies.”
I’m diving deep into the diet trends, food myths, and marketing manipulation that shaped how we ate… and how we blamed ourselves for not looking like the after photo.
This one’s not a recipe. It’s a reckoning.

I have finally got back to filming, and am starting to edit my next couple videos!!!
I’m sharing a yummy pizza recipe after I share with you what’s been going on, what I’m up to, and what I’m eating right now in a calorie deficit. Here’s your sneak peek.
It’s been a crazy last few days without power in DFW! There’s still about 4,000 people in my zip code alone that still don’t have power, including me! So I won’t be making a video for a bit. Already exhausted my two backup videos and will be forced to take another break… as I just threw out my fridge and freezer food today!
But hey, I have a super clean fridge and freezer now! Maybe I can become one of those aesthetic channels. Ha! Who am I kidding?!
I’m trying to look at this as a clean slate and a chance to fill my fridge and freezer with some great options for the summer! Out with the old, in with the new!
No major damage to my car or my house, so I’m thankful to be in one piece, and my son and cat are both safe, too!
Thanks again for being a subscriber, and I will be back making content again once my power is on and I’m able to stock my fridge again!
I’m working on my next video to post this week & it’s just in time for summer, but I also wanted to share with you my current goal: eating 2100-2200 calories a day to build muscle and get ready for a hiking trip to Colorado. Hoping to share some highlights from that trip in a few weeks!
I’m loading up on protein and lots of whole foods focusing on fruits and veggies as my main carb source. Trying to get lots of fiber, too.

Merry Christmas! Here’s what I’m drinking ❤️✅
Christmas Punch
Recipe yields 10 servings:
-1 (32 fluid ounce) bottle cranberry juice cocktail, chilled
-2 cups orange juice, chilled
-2 cups vodka (I used whiskey)
-2 tablespoons brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier - I used 3 tablespoons Triple Sec)
-2 tablespoons white sugar
-½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
-¼ teaspoon ground allspice
-⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
-1 orange, sliced in rounds
Garnish with dried orange slices, cranberries, and a small stalk of rosemary
Mix and let sit for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Pour over ice and add sparkling water.
