Chirk Castle is a formidable Marcher fortress completed in 1310, standing as the last Edwardian castle from the "Iron Ring" that is still inhabited today. While its exterior retains the stern, drum-towered look of a medieval stronghold, the interior reflects 700 years of luxury, featuring elegant state rooms and ornate plasterwork added by the Myddelton family. Managed by the National Trust, it is equally famous for its award-winning gardens and its chilling, two-story medieval dungeon.

Attingham Park is a stunning 18th-century estate in Shropshire, renowned for its grand neo-classical mansion and vast deer park. Home to the Berwick family for generations, the site features an iconic picture gallery designed by John Nash and over 4,000 acres of tranquil woodland and river walks. Along with a beautiful walled garden. It’s a fantastic place to explore. Check out my visit.
