📌 Update: The Sacred Journey to Sri Lanka Begins - Yesterday, April 14, 2026, seven of our venerable monks departed from DFW International Airport, bound for Sri Lanka. They have traveled ahead to begin preparations for the upcoming Walk for Peace, which will take place across the island from April 21 to May 1, 2026.

The venerable monks who began their journey yesterday are:

- Venerable Phiyathammoo
- Venerable Ratanasak Chaoyod
- Venerable Dechamnaj Hompromma
- Venerable Natthapol
- Venerable Ponchai Khamyeam
- Venerable Thirasak
- Venerable Oneta Mingsisouphanh

In a few days, Venerable Ratanaguṇa, Venerable Bhikkhu Pannakara, and Aloka will fly to join the group. Due to some unexpected circumstances, Venerable Phra Supalak will remain at Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center and will not be traveling to Sri Lanka for this specific journey.

This journey marks a historic and deeply significant chapter for the Walk for Peace. Upon the journey's conclusion, the venerable monks will be entrusted to bring Sacred Relics of the Buddha—a revered national treasure of Sri Lanka—and a Bodhi tree sapling (a descendant of the original tree where the Buddha attained Enlightenment) back to the United States.

These sacred treasures will be featured in a special exposition during the Vesak Celebration at Hương Đạo Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth, TX from May 2–10, 2026.

We are truly honored to share this sacred path with you all. May our humble efforts serve as a gentle bridge, bringing blessings, peace, and harmony to the hearts of all beings everywhere.
