Whenever I remake a video, I never go back to watch the original for a couple of reasons.
The biggest one is because I want to go into it fresh, not relying on what I wrote before or how. Things have evolved over the years, so I like to approach remakes as I would any video, with the style and abilities I currently have. If I happen to remember a specific sin, I'll reference it, for sure. If I were to watch the original beforehand, however, I feel like I'd be more compelled to make references to the original, which kind of defeats the point, for me.
I finished writing and recording the next EWW today. I'd like you to go back and watch the original, keeping in mind that I haven't rewatched this, and I won't until after the video is published. I remember next to NOTHING about this one, barring a few select instances, one which I do explicitly call out in the new version.
I'm really curious to see where 2016 me and 2025 me overlap, sin-wise.
