In the singing world, there are generally two different paths:

1️⃣ Some people started young and sing entirely by instinct – They've never had to think about technique.
2️⃣ Others have to actively work through physical tension and mental blocks just to get the sound to cooperate.

Neither path makes you more or less of a "singer" BUT it completely changes how you need to practice.

What works for someone with zero vocal tension rarely works for someone who feels like their voice is literally stuck in their throat. Not to mention the negative feedback cycle that a lot of us have to heal from along the way.
