Two HP classics on the desk today — the 12C Michigan Edition and the 32S 50th Anniversary. One built for finance, one built for scientific RPN. Wild how different they are even though they’re both HP legends.

I found a rare Applied Engineering TransWarp Rev 1.4 accelerator card for the Apple IIe in a thrift store today. There are basically no videos online about this card, so I’m making a full series on it. Today’s video shows the card up close, and next week I’ll install it in my Apple IIe and run benchmarks. If you have any tips for installing or testing a TransWarp, let me know — this is a super rare find and I want to cover it right.

Nightmare Drive has that perfect “one more run” energy. You start the day scavenging parts, tuning your ride, and feeling like you’ve got everything under control
then the sun drops and the whole world tries to erase you. Every night feels different, every upgrade changes the run, and every mile you survive feels earned.

If you’re into survival games with actual tension and a car that becomes your lifeline, this one hits hard.

This is wild.
Sony’s CDP‑CX450 MegaStorage CD player — a 400‑disc home jukebox from the early 2000s.
It’s huge, over‑engineered, and built for people who wanted their entire music collection in one machine. You could even plug in a PS/2 keyboard to name every CD.
This thing is pure retro audio history — when physical media ruled and Sony went all‑in on scale.

50 discs. One carousel. Pure mechanical precision.
I opened the Sony CDP‑CX53, a 50‑disc CD changer built like a robot from the golden age of home audio. Inside, the carousel rotates with perfect timing, lifting each disc and sliding it into the laser assembly. Watching the mechanism in motion feels like seeing a miniature factory designed for music.

đŸ”„ 1.44 MB vs 120 MB — FLOPPY vs SUPERDISK! đŸ”„
This one’s pure retro chaos. I hooked up a real 3œ‑inch floppy drive to Windows 10, Windows 11, and even macOS 26 — and yes, it still works!
Then came the twist: the Imation SuperDisk 120 MB, a forgotten beast that promised 80× the capacity but needed its own LS‑120 drive.
I dismantled a floppy, compared it side‑by‑side with the SuperDisk, and tested both — the results are wild.
It’s the ultimate 90s tech showdown: the floppy that defined an era vs. the super‑floppy that tried to rewrite history.

I hooked up the Arturia BeatStep Pro to GarageBand today just to see how it behaves in a software‑only setup. No external synths or drum machines here, just the sequencer and my Mac. Even with this minimal setup, the BeatStep Pro reacts instantly, fires patterns cleanly, and makes GarageBand feel like it’s part of a much bigger rig. This isn’t a full hardware demo, but it’s a nice look at how the BeatStep Pro performs when you only have the basics available.

Today’s upload is for everyone who still loves the sound of real mechanics — the clicks, the clunks, the hiss, and the weird little problems only tape freaks understand.
We’re taking a look at the Kenwood KX‑W6020, and this thing has personality. Deck A behaves, Deck B
not so much. No fixes today — just pure analog discovery and the joy of seeing what’s actually wrong inside a 1991 cassette machine.

If you love tape, you’ll feel right at home.

đŸ§Ș PS5 Pro’s new AI upscaling (PSSR) is powerful
 but it’s not perfect.
I tested Sony’s new PSSR image enhancement system in GT7 today, and the results were surprising.
PSSR is designed to rebuild higher‑resolution frames using AI and temporal data — basically Sony’s answer to DLSS/FSR for console. When it works, it looks great: cleaner edges, sharper detail, smoother motion.
But in my GT7 dusk test with the Golf GTI, the rear lights looked completely wrong with PSSR enabled. Soft, smeared, almost “wet” inside the taillight segments.
Same race, same car, same settings — with PSSR off, everything looked normal again.
This video shows both runs back‑to‑back. The tech is impressive, but right now GT7’s lighting clearly doesn’t play nicely with it.

Both the PS5 controller and the PS4 controller hide a tiny reset button on the back, and it’s one of the most useful features people forget exists. That little pin‑hole can clear old Bluetooth pairings, fix controllers that won’t connect, and bring back inputs when the buttons or sticks stop responding. It’s a simple way to give both controllers a clean start when they act up, drift, lag, or refuse to sync. One tiny button that solves a lot of problems across two generations of PlayStation controllers.
