On the other hand, being quiet has helped me make some good progress on new buildings and other stuff for my Scrapyard mod and my planned second series with it, so I suppose it's not all bad 🤔

💥For completely expected reasons💥, Survival Impossible will be back next week, once I sort out all the things I didn't quite get sorted for the Apex Survival Update. There's never enough time for making things pretty, so w4sted and I are going to be doing some prettying up of the Wrongco over on Twitch from around 2330 UTC Saturday, if you'd like to see that in your local timezone head to twitch.tv/splitsie/schedule and you'll be able to see it there, as well as see what other stuff I get up to over there :)

For those who hate Twitch, the VoD of the build stream will be uploaded to youtube soon after and we're going to be trying to get a timelapse of sorts to show off what happens as well.

If you can't make it, that's ok, the work we're planning on doing is the stuff that I'd do off-stream anyway and then talk through during the stream, things like my shiny elevator with it's slightly capac-resistant design :P

Good news and uncertain news with the whole 'my CPU is dying' thing:

The good:
- intel caved to my pestering and are sending a replacement CPU before I send them my busted one
- I've managed to slow down the CPU enough that even at 34C in my shed it's managed to remain on the Wrong Way Out server for over an hour and a half without a crash (test is still running so hopefully it'll make it to 5 hours plus)
- somehow despite being slowed to about 2.5ghz, SE is still running well in the Wrong Way Out save

The uncertain:
- intel are posting me a new CPU just before christmas, the busiest time for such things - eep. Hopefully this'll be fixed before the new year.

Fingers crossed their couriers don't take too long and actually ring my doorbell before deciding I'm not home :P

About the ads on Wrong Way Out...

Sometimes you might run into a LOT of ads, please let me know if this happens and I'll fix it as soon as I can.
The soonest I can do anything about it is once the stream has completely finished processing, which is normally an hour or two after it's ended, so I'll often forget to fix it.

The best way to let me know is just to drop a comment on the video itself, so I know which one needs fixing as the automatic density is nuts and I prefer to set it to about every ~30 minutes or so :)

Which DLC block is your favourite and why?

This is hopefully going to help me in a video I'm making about them, the goal of which is to help people who are just starting their SE journey pick which ones to get first. Since the total price of all the DLC is pretty high, I think it would be nice to give those new players (and older ones who have held off for one reason or another) a useful place to start :)

For extra credit, those who have avoided the DLC, which mods do you use to substitute for them?
