In my latest 2 Hour Climbing Guide, I mistakenly state that Abyssal Mask’s passive would outperform Spirit Visage’s passive in increasing the healing from Unending Despair. A kind viewer corrected me, and I wanted to post this in order to not spread misinformation. The fault in my thought process was thinking about AM and SV as additive bonuses when they are (of course) multiplicative.
healing with AM = post-mitigation dmg * 1.12 * 2.5 < post-mitigation damage * 2.5 * 1.25 = healing with SV
The ”idea” was that AM would increase the damage before the 250% conversion to healing, making it stronger than an increase after, but this is not true since the bonuses are all multiplied together anyways. Obvious in hindsight but mistakes happen!
