Akua‘s development was normal until she gradually lost her speech at age 2. At the time, she was examined by different medical experts all of which indicated that there was no cause for alarm since she was only a later talker until she was finally diagnosed with autism. To you out there who has a child with similar condition, while I accept that it is challenging raising such kids, I want you to be inspired and not be in despair. Be encouraged and have faith that God who gave you that child is also able to give you the strength in raising him/her. Remember your sorrows will only break the child. Careless about what people say and show him/her love.
It is certain that one day your tears shall turn into joy when that miracle you have been waiting for bursts forth.
