I havenāt made an in depth discussion about what I think of K-pop recently, so here we go. obviously, the recent bts comeback is one of recent debates. my opinions as someone who enjoys some bts music but doesnāt stan. itās very disappointing. I think swim and 1 other song in this album was okay, swim being great. however, the rest of the album feels nothing like bts. bts has a very distinct sound and overall vibe that managed to widespread kpop a lot, so I was clearly underwhelmed when this music was released. it felt as if bts themselves had no creative direction in the songs. some of the songs werenāt even terrible, but the fact that they were just mid says a lot because weāve been waiting 4 years, no? Iād like to clarify that I am one to judge songs based on the group (in the sense that if their music was already good) and with no bias. the songs were either good, mid or straight ass. this is also coming from a very open ceremony listener. something that also throws me off a lot is when a groupās songs lose their initial vibe; ālose my breathā by stray kids is a prime example. it being a collaborative song speaks for itself, and I feel as if the song doesnāt represent stray kids themselves and rather just Charlie puth. so while the song isnāt inherently bad, I simply cannot listen to it. this same concept applies to btsā new album, excluding swim. I do not support btsā past actions, but I can admit that their songs are banging and I 100% understand as to why bts are so widespread. itās just very disappointing with this album. Iām not so caught up on what girl groups are up to, but Iām aware of the heeseung situation of course. Iām not so sure if my sources are correct, but the whole scheme of things has apparently come out? heeseungās removal from enhypen was a test run. Iāll say this twice, Iām not sure if this is correct or confirmed. Iām just honestly shocked that it took heeseungās departure for people (kpop stans) to realise that new jeans were real the whole time. I think that the overall handling of the new jeans case was messy and couldāve been avoided, however the girls were correct and hybe is honestly about as worse as a company can get. Iām also surprised that people still hadnāt believed the girls after itād been reported that txt were abused back in their trainee days. misogyny in kpop or overall fan spaces in general is ridiculous. K-pop stans are also new levels of pathetic for dragging stray kids into everything. just because they get more recognition than your favourites doesnāt mean that theyāre ass (said in no way to undermine any other group). Iād also like to speak about the genuine toxicity in the loona fandom. most people donāt even acknowledge loona and just use ābeing an orbitā to hate on boy groups or generally acting as a rude person. hating on boy groups for the reason that theyāre boy is also another prime example of sexism. loona is an incredible group that endured so much. they canāt even get a decent fanbase. rather than hating on groups that have no idea of your existence, go stream the loona girlsā solos (peak btw). I honestly really despise the whole kpop scheme or kpop fandoms as a whole. how toxic can you get? I honestly only keep up with stray kids and sometimes enhypen, so take my opinions lightly since Iām distanced so much with the whole aspect of this, as well. new stray kids song out tmrw guys!!
YUTA SLANDER WILL END NEXT WEEK. yuta fighting the sendai colonyā¦Iām not ready. theyāre even extending the ep from 20 mins to 27 minsš„¹ ā2nd to satoru gojoā IS WHAT YUTA IS. I feel so excited thinking about it omds. some people also donāt realise yutaās strength. he was a 1st year and had only been in the school for a few weeks/months and mastered jujutsu AND reversed cursed technique. my guy killed geto and special grade curses asw. keep in mind, geto is considered one of the strongest along side gojo, so this is mad work for anyone, specially a first year. my guyās a 3rd year and now considered the strongest in the verse, second to gojoš„¹
