It's shocking to me that this comment I made 4 years ago has so many likes and Comments. This is not a flex. I point it out because this is prevalent. It's not who you expect and many commenters have never told anyone.

It's an uncomfortable truth that we must not shy away from. Talk to your kids. Listen to them. If they hate going to a certain place figure out why. Keep it in the back of your mind for Everyone who has access to your child. Teach them to speak loudly and say 💭 don't touch my body. That no means no. Grandma no kisses means gtfo of my kids space. No tickling. Hardstop. It's a recipe for inappropriate touching. If you suspect something don't Sweep it away for convience.

For the love if God BELIEVE YOUR KID 👦 if they tell you something. Stay calm. Thank you for sharing with me. You did the right thing by telling. CALL 📱 THE COPS, they can figure out what the whole story is.

As I was pulling into work, I was following this car. The sign in the back window says, “Learning Stick, sorry for any delay.”
Knowing this information, I was very patient with their slow shifting, and honestly, they were doing pretty well for still learning. Then I asked myself a tough question: Would I have been just as patient if the sign hadn’t been there? I can almost definitely say no.
We don’t know what someone is going through. We don’t wear signs that illustrate our personal struggles. You don’t see signs taped to people’s shirts that say, “Going through a divorce”, “Lost a child”, “Feeling depressed”, or “Diagnosed with cancer”.
If we could read visually what those around us are going through, we would definitely be nicer. But we shouldn’t have to see signs or have reasons to treat strangers with kindness. We should do it anyway, whether we know what is going on or not. Whether they deserve it or not.
Let’s give everyone an extra dose of patience, kindness, and love. 😊🥰
