Pratyāhāra is the 5th limb of Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga.
The Sanskrit word is derived from “prati” meaning away or against and “ahara” meaning food or anything you consume.
This term is often translated to “the withdrawal of the senses”.
Yogis often go into caves in the Himalayas and live off one meal a day and have only one robe and one pair of shoes (or no shoes).
In a world where we are used to eating 3 meals a day + snacks, where we are constantly “adding to basket” and purchasing, where we reach for our phones 572 times a day and watch uncountable reels, posts & stories that we forget about 10 minutes later...

Tomorrow is a big *BIG* day! 💥
We will experience our annual New Moon in Aquarius, but it’s also a Solar Eclipse 🌀 This happens when the Moon crosses the Sun’s path, the ecliptic. Eclipses have been revered since ancient times as a reset moment, a karmic turning point. This astronomical event holds a deep spiritual meaning around control, trust, and flow.
On the 17th of Feb we will notice a few other interesting synchronicities as well, like the start of Chinese or Lunar New Year, Lent & Ramadan… Coincidence? Or cosmic shift? 🌙

Today the Sun joins Mars in a conjunction in Capricorn, also known as a "Cazimi" (from Arabic for “in the heart”)!
Just this week we had the Venus Cazimi and now it's time for Mars. This one happens every 2 years, so it’s a rare occurrence that deserves a little celebration.
Mars rules action, energy, and passion. Its vitality is replenished during a Cazimi, asking us to let go of any old coping mechanisms and mindless reflexes that don’t support our ambitions and goals.
