Here I document life with my BMW iX1. Having conquered the high-altitude passes of Ladakh & Spiti, and explored from Mumbai to Rajasthan, I’m now taking on these routes in EVs—where others fear to tread and road lovers are excited to follow.

From Jispa at 5,091m all the way down to the lush Valley of Trout in Tirthan — the BMW iX1 turned a Himalayan descent into a masterclass in regenerative braking.
6.8 kWh/100km. 59% better than WLTP rated. Gravity did the work.
