Hey y'all! Since this topic is becoming highly debated within our fandom, I would like to express my opinion regarding the presence of juries in Eurovision:
I DON'T support the idea of Eurovision without juries and mainly for two reasons. First, there are countries that consistently struggle in Eurovision due to non-music related factors. Secondly, having juries makes Eurovision feel more legitimate and encourages participants to focus on their vocals and deliver higher quality music and performances. Personally, I prefer the system that worked until 2022. However, since it seems the EBU is now leaning towards a televote-only approach, I believe a fair solution would be to allocate 75% of the vote to televoters and 25% to juries in the semifinals, and 60% to televoters and 40% to juries in the finals. Removing juries completely, in my opinion, would be a mistake, despite occasional disagreements with their opinions and the presence of biased countries voting for their neighbors.
