Hariprasad Subramanian, an Indian classical flautist, is Shri O. K. Subrahmanian's son and disciple. He hails from a family of profound musicians and was initiated into music at an young age of 4. He is now pursuing advanced training under his grandfather Shri Kalaimamani Kizhvelur N.G. Ganesan, a Nadaswara vidwan, who was the direct disciple Thiruppampuram Somasundara pillai ( Brother of great flute vidwan Thiruppampuram Swaminatha pillai ) and who was also fortunate enough to get the guidance from Thiruvaduthurai T.N. Rajarathinam pillai and Karukurichi Arunachalam Pillai. He is the recepient of "ITC Sangeeth Research Academy Award" given by Central Sangeeth Nataka Academy and was also the winner of All India Radio Music Competition - 2016.
