Hey dragonlings!

Trying to decide what I want to work on for the next 7-Day Book Challenge, which is happening 22-28 June 2026.

Recently, for funzies, I had my kids decide a random project for me to work on as a palette cleanser when I had time. (I haven't had time. Go figure.) But it got me thinking... I want to choose my 7DBC project the same way!

There's 8 projects to choose from, but YouTube only allows for 4 choices, so I'm going to do 2 polls, each with 4 choices, and then the final poll will pit the winners of those two head-to-head. So, here's Poll 2 of 3.

Based on covers (not finalized) and vibes alone, which of these projects should I work on for the 7DBC?

Sad news everyone. . .

I went to edit footage the other day and discovered the 8-9 different videos I'd filmed all had audio issues I can't fix, so unfortunately I have to refilm all of them, and with starting a new job this past Monday, there's no way I'm going to be able to get it done before the weekend.

I'm bummed. Really bummed. I'd planned on getting a lot of videos edited and scheduled this weekend, so I could go on full hiatus in July, but it looks like Fate has other plans, so...

Here's the new plan.

This month, I'm only going to be doing live streams. Next month, I'm taking a full hiatus. *IF* I can get videos filmed, edited and uploaded by next month, I'll have videos then. Otherwise, I'll have nothing going live in July (nor will I be streaming) and I'll just come back strong in August with ALL THE VIDEOS!!!

With learning to juggle work/life balance again, there's too many plates to juggle, and they're starting to fall, so streams only this month on Saturday nights. Possibly videos next month although don't count your chicks yet.

Hey everyone,

You might know I've been working hard to try and finish the first drafts of the final Sultry Solstices short stories this month. There's seven total and I was trying to wrap up #3 when the month started.

I've got good news and bad news. The good news is I'm on #7 as far as the main story goes. The bad news is I still have to go back and finish the epilogues on #4 onward since the epilogues were all intros to the main characters in the next stories.

I also have to figure out what to do for the epilogue of #7. I could use it to wrap up the series, but if I do that, which character should I follow? I could also use it to introduce the character that will be the starter for the next series in the same universe. I don't know. Would love to know your thoughts if you have any!

Because of this, I've gotten behind on video editing. There won't be a vlog today. I actually only filmed 2 clips last week and they were both less than 5 min long.

I think I'm going to take the rest of the month off for videos and vlogs and start clean next month. You'll still catch me in streams twice a week: a gaming and chatting one Thursday evening and a productivity stream Saturday evening, but no new vlogs or videos. Not yet. Soon. Hopefully with good news!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to let you know that today's video is going to be late. Later today or early tomorrow, I'm uncertain at the moment. It's been a bit of a rough week motivation-wise. There's been spell slots available for some tasks, but not others, and (unfortunately) one of the tasks I haven't had spell slots for is YouTube. Video filming and editing. I've gotten lots of videos scripted! I just haven't really felt like turning on the camera for more than a couple minutes at a time (vlog time) basically.

So I'm bulk filming a few videos today, including the one that was supposed to go live today, and I'll edit them a little at a time from there. I've also shifted some of my videos around, but more to come on that in a future post. For now, I'm going to try to get a video out today, but it might be tomorrow.

Remember to take care of yourself. Get rest and stay hydrated.

On Saturday, I attempted another 12-hour marathon, and it went EXTREMELY well! My plan was to write the first 5 chapters of the first draft of SS#5: Isolated Tranquil.

I ended up writing almost 6 chapters (I was too tired and loopy to finish the last couple of paragraphs of that 6th chapter) and 8,694 words total for the day.

More about it in tomorrow’s vlog! Keep an eye out!

Thank you to everyone who joined me for this month’s 12-hour marathon. I’m really looking forward to the next one, which will be at the end of next month to coincide with the quarter’s 7-Day Book Challenge. More to come later!

This weekend, Steph and I are going to tackle another 12-hour marathon. We’re changing it up though.

Join me and ‪@stephaniemwhitson‬ for another 12-Hour marathon Saturday, 16 May 2026. We’re shifting it to daytime hours though.

If you haven’t joined us before, we don’t stream for 12-hours straight, but split it into two 6-hour streams with an hour break between. We’ll start on Stephanie’s channel at 11 AM MST (10 AM PST/12 PM CST/1 PM EST) and stream for 6 hours. Then we’ll take our usual hour-long break before we hop over to my channel at 6 PM (5 PM PST/7 PM CST/8 PM EST) for another 6 hours.
