Just posted what might be the most divisive fragrance discussion I’ve covered on the channel so far.

SPIRITICA’s “Jeffrey” has people split right down the middle. Some see it as provocative avant-garde art. Others think it crosses a line completely.

I wanted to approach this one honestly from both sides — the scent itself, the concept, the ethics, and whether controversy alone should have a place in perfumery.

It was honestly a real honor — and a bit of a thrill — to be invited onto Frag Talk with Daniel from Seldomly Often, along with John from Frag-Jitsu, Mo from Scents For Thought, and Luke (check him out on Instagram @switzer_scent).

Some fragrances earn a reputation long before most people ever smell them.

Varanasi by Meo Fusciuni is one of those scents — talked about, debated, respected, and sometimes avoided altogether. Dark, incense-heavy, emotional, even unsettling depending on who you ask.

I just posted my unboxing and blind first impressions, and this one definitely lived up to the conversation around it.
