Hi! My name is Jon, I am the band “WOLFIE’S JUST FINE,” I sometimes write songs for TV and movies, for a while I was a Taco, and at the beginning of the internet I made some silly videos. But most of the time, I do nothing.
Those moments watching him wrestle in the late eighties, my eyes glued to the old tube television screen at my grandmother’s house, will remain some of the happiest moments of my life. He was not a perfect human, neither am I, but those childhood moments were. Thank you for that, Mr. Hogan. Rest in Peace
Hey everyone, what a heartwarming response to a song/video I thought would maybe be too specific to be relatable. Boy was I wrong. Thank you 4 the kind words everyone. Clearly that era in professional wrestling (& the timeless LJN toy line) resonated on a profound level with us 80s/90s kids❤️ This is the second single off of my more “serious”music project WOLFIE’S JUST FINE’s forthcoming album, out 16/06/23
Album art and a shot from my next Wolfie’s Just Fine song and video coming next week (05/18). If you’re old enough, you might have an idea of what it’s about.
Hey all, it’s your old pal Jon Lajoie from the beginning of the internet. Just wanted to say thank you for all your support over the past 15 years, my life took a real beautiful turn in 2007 when I started posting silly videos I made for zero $$ from my apartment in the suburbs of Montreal. What a wild ride. Last year I was back at my parent’s place, near my old apartment, staying with them for a while because my father wasn’t doing so well, and I set up my recording equipment so I could do some work in their basement while I was there. Except this time around I wasn’t writing silly tunes to make my friends giggle on a new thing called YouTube, I was writing songs for HBO’s reboot of Clone High. It hit me then how much the support from the YouTube community from back then completely changed my life. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you. Holy shit. What a wild ride. Also, people ask me all the time if I’ve died, why I don’t post so much…etc. The truth is I make things when I feel compelled to make things. I can’t force it or fake it. And for the most part, the past few years that’s meant recording and releasing super not funny music under the moniker WOLFIE’S JUST FINE. It’s just what comes to me naturally these days. So if you’re interested in hearing terribly unfunny music by the Everyday Normal Guy (totally get it if no), this is my latest. This album was a real labor of love, it comes out June 16th. This is the first single. Again, totally get it if you’re not interested in hearing the High as F*** guy sing about grief and mortality. Ha! For real. But hopefully a few of you connect with it. Anyway, thank you for all the love and support over the past 15 years, and for completely changing my life. It wouldn’t have happened without you. And I mean that profoundly and sincerely. And yes, I still like red peppers better than the green ones. Jon
Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Wrote and directed this a few years back, it’s the (mostly) true story of the first time I watched a horror movie as a child. The movie was Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning. It was scary.
