LOOT OFFER TODAY

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณIndia๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ is celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program in view of 75 years of Independence. So let us revisit history and know about several interesting facts associated with India's Independence:

01.Hindi was declared as the official language of India on 14th September, 1949. It is not the national language of the country. Article 343 of the Indian Constitution mentions Hindi in Devnagari script as the official language of India.

02. The name India was derived from the river
Indus.

03. It's difficult to believe that Mahatma Gandhi missed the first Independence Day celebration. But yes it's true! Gandhiji was fasting in opposition to the riots between Hindus and Muslims occurring in Bengal.

04. The Indian national flag with three horizontal stripes of red, yellow, and green was hoisted on August 7, 1906, at Parsee Bagan Square in Kolkata. The first variant of our current national flag was designed by Pingali Venkayya in 1921. The current flag with saffron, white and green stripes with the 24-spoke Ashok Chakra was officially adopted on July 22, 1947, and hoisted on August 15, 1947.

05. Jana Gana Mana was first published in Bengali in 1911. However, it wasn't until 1950 that it was declared our national anthem.

06. Cyril John Radcliffe was given the task of drawing the borders of the Independent India. Despite the fact that he had never come to India, he was given this task of division of the country.

07.India celebrates its Independence Day alongside South Korea, the Republic of the Congo, and Liechtenstein.

08. Then came the Swadeshi Movement in the 1900s. Bal Gangadhar Tilak and JRD Tata founded the Bombay Swadeshi Co-op Stores Co. Ltd. to promote Swadeshi goods and boycotted foreign goods. Mahatma Gandhi described it as the soul of swaraj (self-rule).
