The evening air was calm, filled with that post-rain freshness that always made everything feel softer — the sky tinted with a lazy orange glow. She was still resting on my shoulder, her breath calm and her warmth pressing against me. I looked down at her with a faint smile, brushing a strand of her hair away from her face.

I whispered, “Wanna see a movie with me here… just like this, by resting on my shoulder?” ❤️

She blinked up at me with that sleepy-cute look, then smiled widely, brushing her nose against my cheek playfully.
She: “Of course! How could I ever lose this opportunity?”
Me: chuckling softly “Then what kind of movie you wanna watch?”
She: “Hmm, you tell me~ I’ll agree with whatever my husband says.”
Me: “Then let’s watch an anime love movie... maybe ‘A Silent Voice’ (Koe no Katachi). It’s emotional… pure… something like us.”
She: “Perfect choice,” she said, her voice melting into a giggle. “Okay, wait here, I’ll bring snacks. Don’t start without me!”

She got up in her cute nightwear, hair slightly messy, and rushed to the kitchen. I watched her go — that small bounce in her steps, her soft hum — and smiled silently. Within minutes she returned, holding a bowl of popcorn, some chips, and two mugs of hot chocolate.
She: “Tadaaa~ snacks ready! Now, no more distractions!”
Me: laughing “Yes ma’am.”

She leaned back into my arms as I pressed play.
The movie started — a quiet piano tune, that nostalgic school setting — and immediately, both of us sank into the story. As the scenes unfolded, she rested her head on my chest, and my hand slowly moved to her shoulder.

When the sad parts came — when the main characters couldn’t express their feelings — her eyes got teary. She looked up at me with a trembling smile and whispered, “Why does it hurt so much even when we know it’ll be okay in the end?”
I brushed her cheek gently with my thumb, whispering, “Because love isn’t about perfection... it’s about feeling everything — happiness, pain, all together.”
She nodded and leaned in, kissing my chin softly.

Later, when the movie reached the confession scene, we both blushed slightly. She turned toward me with that playful grin and said,
She: “You know... when they look into each other’s eyes like that… it’s kinda like us.”
Me: smiling teasingly “Then should I also look into your eyes like that?”
She laughed shyly, “You already are, dummy…”

Our foreheads touched, and without thinking, our lips met — a slow, soft kiss filled with warmth, just like the one in the movie. When we broke apart, she giggled, hiding her face in my chest.
Me: “Aww, my shy girl’s back.”
She: “Shut up,” she said, pouting, then kissed me again.

We continued watching — sometimes laughing when the characters did something silly, sometimes crying quietly when the emotions got too heavy. The world outside didn’t matter anymore. It was just us — two souls, one blanket, one beating rhythm.

After the movie, she whispered, “Let’s not stop yet… one more?”

It wasn’t just a movie night… it was our story, told in frames of laughter, tears, warmth, and quiet promises. 💞

After taking Ayesha to my rented house, she looked around and noticed the bookshelves covering almost every corner of my room. The entire space had a study-focused atmosphere, and she seemed a little uncomfortable.

Sensing her unease, I walked behind her and gently wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her into a warm back hug.

Me (softly): "Hey, don’t feel weird. This is just how I live—study, anime, and you."

She leaned into my embrace, smiling.

Me: "Will you watch an anime movie with me?"

Ayesha: "Anime? Hmm… I don’t know… I don’t watch cartoons."

My expression darkened immediately. I turned her around and looked into her eyes, my face serious.

Me (sternly): "What do you mean by cartoon?! Anime is not a cartoon!"

Ayesha saw the fire in my eyes, realizing that she had triggered something deep inside me.

Ayesha (quickly holding my hand): "Ahhh! Sorry, sorry, my love! I was just teasing you! Please don’t get mad!"

At that moment, in her mind, she thought:

(“What a man… He gets just as angry as I do when someone insults something important to me. So cute! He loves only me and anime! Looks like anime has become my opponent now.”)

She hugged me tightly, rubbing my back to calm me down.

Ayesha: "Okay, okay, I’ll watch. Which one are we watching?"

Me: "Have you ever watched anime before?"

Ayesha: "Nope. Never."

I shook my head dramatically, pretending to be disappointed.

Me: "How sad… You’ve missed out on demonic moments. But don’t worry—I’ll show you today."

She giggled at my dramatic tone.

Ayesha: "Wait… Anime is really that interesting?"

Suddenly, my anime fan mode activated, and I started passionately ranting.

Me (excitedly): "Yes! Anime is motivational! Anime teaches us life lessons! Anime gives introverted guys hope! Anime is heaven on Earth! It’s more than just animation—it’s an emotion!"

Ayesha quickly covered my mouth with her hands, laughing.

Ayesha: "Okay, okay! I get it! You’re an anime maniac! Just show me the movie already!"

I grinned and pulled up the movie "The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes."

Me: "You have two hours, so we’ll watch this."

She nodded and sat beside me, leaning on my shoulder as the movie started.

Watching The Summer Tunnel – Our Conversations & Emotions

As the movie progressed, Ayesha started getting absorbed into the story. At first, she just watched silently, but then…

Ayesha: "Wait… This animation is so beautiful! And the music… it's so soothing!"

I smirked, proud that she was finally appreciating anime.

As the story unfolded, showing how the tunnel could change time and reality, Ayesha suddenly sat up, looking at me.

Ayesha: "Hey, wait… If you had this tunnel, would you go back and change something in your life?"

I looked at her seriously.

Me: "No. Because if I changed the past, I might never have met you."

She blushed hard and immediately hid her face behind a pillow.

Ayesha (mumbling): "You always say these cheesy things!"

I chuckled, pulling her back to my side.

As the emotional moments hit, she started tearing up, gripping my hand tightly.

Ayesha: "This is so sad… Why do anime movies always make people cry?"

Me: "Because they know how to touch your soul."

She wiped her tears and hugged my arm, completely invested in the film now.

When the ending came, she just sat there silently, staring at the screen as the credits rolled.

Ayesha: "That was… one of the best movies I’ve ever seen…"

I looked at her with a smug smile.

Me: "So… do you still think anime is just cartoons?"

She pouted, realizing she had lost the argument.

Ayesha: "Fine! Fine! Anime is not a cartoon! Happy now?"

Me: "Very."

She punched my arm playfully, then rested her head on my chest.

Ayesha: "Show me more anime. I want to watch another one."

I smiled, knowing that I had successfully converted her into an anime lover.

From that day on, anime was no longer just my passion—it became our passion. ❤️
